This is the one time that I’ve scrolled on social media. I didn’t see anyone post… “New Year, New Me!” Which is a post that I’ve never really understood. Yes! It’s a new year. However, many people will have fallen off track by February. It’s just an observation. So, the “New You” is just temporary.
I totally believe in resolutions. However, it’s something that I don’t feel that you need to share. Especially, if you have a friend like me. That will completely call you out on a bluff. Soon as you fall off your resolution. Then there’s the folks that mention deleting their social media accounts. Just because they need to get their life together. Did you have to announce that to us? How about you just log off? Last year I said that I was going to have a good year. I didn’t elaborate on it at all. I actually did have a great 2020. Despite this pandemic we’re in.
I did notice that the Facebook year in review didn’t show up. I guess they wanted to be nice. Also, I think we’ve all seen enough lockdown photos. It would’ve been cool to see. It’s a cute little compilation of photos. I’ll accept the top nine photos, for now. I’m still annoyed that Twitter has stories. It was fine the way it was. I’ve tried it… Blah.
I saw a lot of.. “Where’s the party?” posts. Huh? I understand that people want to celebrate. However, it’s gross outside. You can’t just be around random individuals. What if the person that you kiss on New year’s, gets you sick? I’m a bit paranoid, I guess. Have a small gathering with your safe friends or relatives. I was at a gathering of five people. Everyone has been tested prior. Also, none of us were going to be all over one another. The way these cases are spiking up. I’m good.
