Besides the fact that outside isn’t going anywhere. I’m definitely not missing much. Did I really need to go out almost every night? My favorite hangout place is literally seconds away from work. Don’t get me wrong… I’ve met some amazing individuals. However, I’m sure that this was beginning to affect my wallet. More importantly, my liver was probably screaming at me to stop. Working remotely has definitely changed everything. There’s no bar after work… it’s the refrigerator and stove. Also, it’s too cold to be outside.
This night I happened to be visiting a friend. I’ve known this friend for many years. I knew that I wasn’t going to catch anything. Wow! Paranoid much? Whatever… It is, what it is. Anyway, after a wild and crazy night we passed out. At least, that’s what I thought. I wake up in desperate need of water. It sounds like a band was having a session. I’m like.. I’ve should’ve went home. However, I’m glad that I stayed. I see my friend on his computer and he’s putting music together. I’ve been to a studio session. I would just lay down the vocals and go home. If I performed it was live. It was today that I realize why these recording artists record late at night.
I started asking a crap load of questions. What’s this? What’s that? He’s creating a song for an artist of his. I always knew that he can rap. I didn’t know that he can just throw some stuff together and you have a song. He asked if I wanted to try. It looks complicated as hell! That’s what I love!! I’ve chosen a Hip Hop and EDM sample. He made me listen to each style of instruments and showed me auto tune. I went ahead and placed the beats together. The first song sounds like you’ve had some acid. The second sounds like a futuristic 80s song. I was mesmerized by this whole experience. I was complimented for doing a great job for a first timer. Now, I’m hooked… He puts the stuff on my computer and iPhone. I’m going to actually watch some videos and learn more from him. Who knows what’s going to happen.. I may drop a song within few months. I’m laughing hysterically at the thought… wink!
It’s a new month and year. This is the perfect time to start a new thing. I have some free time now. Let’s see where this goes…
