It’s like a kid at Christmas

After countless emails and texts from the carrier. I drag myself to the phone store. I’ve had the same phone for about two years. I’ve joined team iPhone in 2014. I’ve never had any severe issues with it. I haven’t been quick to upgrade a phone. I know some that jump at each opportunity. I didn’t understand why. Just upgrade your phone when it starts to slow down. Isn’t that the sign?

Fast forward to the end of 2020. The gentleman explains to me, that I’m eligible for an upgrade. I knew that… I thought that is why I went in the first place. The representative was really friendly. Also, I was notified that I was paying more than I should. So far, so good… I’ve decided on the new pro max. I was always against the large phones. I know that I’m going to hear about this. It’s going to look extremely weird in my back pocket. If the case isn’t to absurd. With all the stuff that I’m doing. Why not? The representative goes on and shows me my new monthly bill. It’s a significant drop. During these times… Oh yeah!! Suddenly, I’m hit with the punch to the nuts.

“I’m sorry all the phones are out of stock” Wait! What? Huh? If you would’ve seen the devastation my face gave. I had on a mask, but still. None of the stores nearby have it. He offers to order it and then go from there. That’ll take three to five days. I wanted to go home, charge it and play with the camera. It’s really why I want it. I contemplate for literally a minute. I go ahead and do it. I just had to pay the taxes. I get a paper an email receipt. Also, he gave me the order number twice. I now have to go home with the phone that I don’t like anymore. The phone is still in great condition. It’s just not what the plan was. Things happen for a reason… I guess

Here I am, looking at the order number. I’m looking at it, every other hour. I’m staring waiting for an email. It looks like a date that’s about to get stood up. Meanwhile, it’s just late. I’ll be patient.

Just some skinny pizza eating freak from Brooklyn. A lot of people say that I'm awesome. Which is dope! Now I want the universe to think so too.
