Lixander calls me in for an emergency meeting. I love his emergencies. It’s never anything insane. Thank goodness! The way he gets excited you would think so. It’s just he has an idea that’ll definitely work for someone or something. This has been his going on for years. Jay mentioned that he should just write it in the notes or a voice memo. His excuse was not a good one. However, it was one that Jay was not going to continue. It was a simple “Who wants to do all of that?” I laughed hysterically to Jay’s displeasure.Continue reading “The Odd Couple in Music”
It’s Sunday morning and Sonya wakes up to a few missed calls. Her godmother, dad and Jonathan has been calling nonstop. It took her a while to find her phone. She had a wild virtual date with Jonathan. He’s been quarantined since he’s been back from a family trip. So, it’s been nothing but virtual action for them. They’ve managed to make it work. However, the quarantine is over and it’s Valentine’s Day.
I think we’re finally hitting a groove. After a few virtual lessons. As well as, some very good hands on. I feel really good about a song that I’ve started working on. We’ve had about six that just sounded insane. I’ve played a few back and was frightened. There’s now a genre that I’ve always loved. Many people think that it’s rhythm and blues. It gets insane, I’m sensitive about every single thing. My friend typed in all caps. Talking about taking things personal… That was four days ago. Although, I received an apology. I still feel offended by this. I’ll get over it. Maybe, I’ll write a song about it.
Whether it’s our favorite singer, actor, restaurant, planet… You get where I’m coming from. It just so happens that mine turned out to be three women. Actually, it would be four awesome ladies. Whitney Houston, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford and My mother Charlene. She’s the one that gotten me into them in the first place. It turned out that they would become major influences in my life. Of course, my mom was. She was the greatest person on earth. I mean… Look at her production. I think I’m a solid dude. 😉
I’ve become the go-to person at the job. That seemed to follow for the rest of my life. Also, I’ve become the favorite friend to everyone. That was really annoying. I said that I was stoned all the time. I had to hear someone else’s problems. It would instantly blow my high.Continue reading “An overdue reunion… Concluded”
