Happy New Year!!! It’s that time when everyone is going to say… “I’m going to do something different.” I’ve said that in January 2020. Well, I did! Mainly, because I was forced. I didn’t really have a choice. I’ve become so familiar with my home. The Real Housewives were coming to their season finales. What was I to do? I thought… “Everyone is going to gain weight or look older than they are.” Due to the stress of lockdown. I wasn’t going to come out looking rough. That’s a no-no! I’ll leave that for some of the Homies. With that said…. I’ve learned how to take care of my skin better. Also, I’ve invested in a bullet for Christmas. I’ve been using it at least three times a day. I’ve used it so much that it started smoking. It scared the living crap out of me.
This is the one time that I’ve scrolled on social media. I didn’t see anyone post… “New Year, New Me!” Which is a post that I’ve never really understood. Yes! It’s a new year. However, many people will have fallen off track by February. It’s just an observation. So, the “New You” is just temporary.
I remember chatting with my two C’s… We were talking about having the best 2020 ever. Things were shifting for everyone. Well, the people that I know. Everything from career changes to winning a huge payment from a scratch off. I started paying attention to what people were telling me. I did listen…. I’m writing this blogpost today.Continue reading “2020 was rough… However, I’m definitely not mad about it.”
Whether it’s our favorite singer, actor, restaurant, planet… You get where I’m coming from. It just so happens that mine turned out to be three women. Actually, it would be four awesome ladies. Whitney Houston, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford and My mother Charlene. She’s the one that gotten me into them in the first place. It turned out that they would become major influences in my life. Of course, my mom was. She was the greatest person on earth. I mean… Look at her production. I think I’m a solid dude. 😉
It feels like yesterday. I’m entertaining the clients at work. The manager comes in to relieve me and I noticed him lugging in a huge box. I’m literally wiped out from the day. However, whenever we saw one another. We were always excited to see one another. I miss working with him… He was a character and a half. I’ll link up with him when we’re able to. Anyway, he opens the box. I burst into excitement and squealed like Jackee’ from 227.Continue reading “When you get older…. The strangest things become exciting. Or, just outright frightening.”
