It was winter of 2000. Although, I’ve known this person since 1996. I’ve denied this, when we’ve first met. I was 16 years old. I literally had no idea what was happening. My mom passed away, when I was 12. She was a single mom. I didn’t really have any male influences. It was nothing but ladies. If there were any males that I’ve looked up to. They were definitely on television.Continue reading “An overdue reunion.. A true story”
Can things get any more wackier? Sonya and Jonathan were out shopping for holiday ornaments. He actually suggested that they go into the city. Which she should have taken as a red flag. This man doesn’t like Manhattan at all. He has pretty much everything in his neighborhood. You can’t really blame him for that. Especially, during these times. They’ve witnessed someone literally lighting up a crack pipe in the middle of the street. However, it’s the holidays and he likes the lights and the store windows.Continue reading “Running into your ex boyfriend’s parents… It was an accident.”
The election is finally over, Sonya is on the loose and it looks like one friend bit the dust. It’s been a hell of a week. The weekend happened to be a little crazier. She did have a great time with Jonathan. Also, she ran into Alex. That was quite interesting. She bumps into the friends of the older gentleman that kept her belongings. It started off weird then it turned funny. You gotta laugh at this really… She was warned not to talk to anyone from that bar. She got what she deserved. Next time, she’ll probably listen.Continue reading “Did Sonya Get Some?”
It’s a gross Friday morning. It’s been raining nonstop since yesterday afternoon. Anyone would be a fool to go out there. Unfortunately, that would be Jonathan. Sonya wakes up from a deep sleep. Surprisingly, she doesn’t have a hangover. Lane and Bismarck were over for dinner. That led to a few bottles of wine. It was vodka for the men. Anyway, she gets out of bed and looks around. Lane and her boyfriend are still asleep. Where the hell is this man?Continue reading “The couples Friday”
She started off with her brunch with Jonathan, Lane and Bismarck. It was going to be long day for her. She knew that she had to pace herself. She had another gathering to go to after that. She wasn’t trying to be wasted before sundown. She’ll slam a few pitchers of mimosas. She wanted to make sure that she was able to function at the end. It’s the first night that she’s going to be going home without Jonathan. He had a work assignment due within hours. Which is why he shouldn’t have planned this. Oh yeah… This was a drunken plan Bismarck made sure he followed through. That’s one thing him and Sonya have in common. Thanks Bismarck!!
It was an extremely warm Tuesday morning. The phone has been on silent. However, the light on Sonya’s case is flickering nonstop. No one usually calls her until after ten. She’s hesitant to go look at the phone. Once that happens, hours will go by unproductively. The light is continuing to go off. She leaps out of the bed and looks. It’s her ex-boyfriend that is now engaged to be married. Wtf?Continue reading “That was strange…”
